Monitor Night was a Blast!

We had our second Workshop of the year during the middle of November.  It was so much fun!!  We started out the night by Shane intoducing our friends the Monitors!  We got to meet a Water Monitor, a Black Throat Monitor, an Ornate Monitor, a Savannah Monitor, a baby Nile Montitor, and an adult Nile Monitor.  After we talked about the monitors we started our HUMAN BOARD GAME!  We split up into two groups and each participant tried to answer Monitor related questions in order to move around the game board.  Everyone won a super cool poster of a monitor autographed by Shane!  After the game we got to watch “BUG” our Black Throated Monitor eat all sorts of gross stuff like Worms, Super Worms and Cockroaches!!  Eeew Gross!  but still REALLY COOL!!

S&T WORKSHOP – MONITOR LIZARDS

This month’s Scales & Tails workshop is soon approching!  It will be held Wednesday, November 19th at 6:30pm at the Scales & Tails showroom. Address: 152 W. Burton Ave. (2360 S.)

This month we will be focusing on Monitor Lizards!  Monitors are owner, Shane Richins’, FAVORITE animal! So he is very excited to do this workshop!  We will be learning about different kinds of monitor lizards via an interative human boardgame! A fact sheet about monitors will be e-mailed out to those who want to study up on monitors before the game.
