Operation Night – Performing Surgery…
Last month’s Reptile Workshop was so cool! We learned all about Caring for our Sick Reptilian pets like how to tell when they are sick, what to do for some problems and when to make the desicion to the vet. We learned how to get rid of mites (Try “Prevent-a-mite” from the pet store), got to see and help a snake poop.. (ewww… but still cool!), we checked out snake teeth and saw the results of a poorly put together cage (saw the scars on a rescued animal from when it got burnt on a heat lamp). After all the learning we took a break and tried out our hands on a little surgery. We played “Operation” on a GIANT LIZARD!! The prizes were cool and the buzzer scared us when we missed. The last part of the night we watched Shane and Rindy set up an incubator and put fresh tortoise eggs in it from Daisy and Fuzzy Wuzzy the red footed tortoises. Whoo! What a night! I can’t wait till next month! I think we are learning about Colubrids! Check out the pics below!
