October Reptile Workshop – Salt Lake City – Local Snakes

October’s reptile workshop will be on Local Snakes.  What snakes lives in your neck of the woods???  Come to this cool workshop to find out!   Scales and Tails, Jeremy Westerman, will be presenting this workshop.  He has spent the last couple weeks out scouting, hunting and catching snakes in our area just for you!  We will learn about the different types of snakes that live in our neighborhood, what they eat, where they hide, which ones can hurt us and which ones are safe.  Afterward, we will get to make our own snakes to take home!

Utah Country – Reptile Workshop – October

Scales and Tails will be doing a reptile workshop for Kids in Utah County!! The topic will be on PYTHONS! We will meet a few of our python stars, learn about their habitats, lifestyles, what they eat, and other cool python stories! We will also pretend to be African Rock Python hunters and get to wrestle a “python” out of an Aardva…rk tunnel! This will be an awesome workshop that no kid should miss!

September’s Workhshop: +++Pythons+++

+++Python Night+++

This month’s Reptile Workshop will be on Pythons!!  Have you ever wanted to wrestle with a python?  Come on I know you crazy reptile fans have!  Shane is going to introduce us to several of the pythons we have on hand as well as a bit about their background. Afterwards we are going pretend to hunt ROCK PYTHONS!  Rock Pythons hide in Ardvark tunnels.  Snake hunters in Africa take a torch and an Antelope skin wrapped around their arm as they crawl through these tunnels in search of Rock Pythons.  They have to be careful that there isn’t an ardvark still in there because they can be buried alive!  Once they find the python they have to wrestle it back out to where their friends are waiting on the outside of the hole to help them pull the snake out.  Then they sell it for $30!  We are going to try to simulate that experience. So get ready to go snake hunting!!
